Scars

Scarring of the skin may occur because of an inflammatory insult to the skin or can be a primary disorder e.g. keloid disease. An important component of scarring management is to prevent scars occurring in the first place. This includes early and aggressive management of inflammatory conditions which can lead to scarring e.g. pseudofolliculitis barbae, acne.
